General information about Agrigento
The city of Agrigento is a major city in Sicily and capital of the province of the same name. Of ancient foundation, it is famous for the Valley of the Temples, which extends into its territory and was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You can easily get to Agrigento in various ways. For example, if you land at the sicilian airports of Palermo Falcone and Borsellino, Trapani Birgi or Catania Fontanarossa, you can arrive by car in about two hours. The city is also reachable by train or by bus.
