Murcia is a city in southern Spain, as well as the homonymous capital of the Autonomous Community. The city has over 400,000 inhabitants and it has two universities. There are in fact the universities of Murcia and the private university Universidad Católica San Antonio de Murcia (UCAM).

Among other religious buildings worth visiting are the Baroque churches of St. Eulalia and St. Andrew. Noteworthy is also the Museo de Bellas Artes. Nearby Murcia you can visit the extinct volcano known as Cresta del Gallo or the imposing statue of Cristo de Monteagudo. Also nearby are the monasteries of Fuensanta (where is the image of the Virgen de Fuensanta, patron saint of the city) and the Monasterio de los Jeronimos.
