Almeria is a Spanish town of about 200,000 inhabitants. Overlooking the Mediterranean, in southern Spain, the city is surrounded by mountains and is famous for being the set of many spaghetti westerns films including several filmed by renowned director Sergio Leone. The city was founded in 955, when the Moors ruled Spain.
