The town of Alba immediately conjures to mind sweet sensations, caused by the fact that the city is the place of origin of the Nutella, the famous hazelnut spread that is produced here by the company Ferrero. In addition to this, Alba is also famous for a number of renowned food and wine products, such as the hazelnuts of the Langhe, the white truffle (of which the city hosts an important exhibition) and rare wines such as the DOC Barbera, Dolcetto and Nebbiolo and the DOCG Barbaresco and Moscato.
Visiting Alba and its surroundings
If you decide to start from Alba, you can rent a car at the offices of our suppliers that are located in the city or in the near town of Guarene. The rental car is certainly the ideal way to go on a tour of the Langhe, the historic region of Piedmont that has been recently included among the assets considered World Heritage Site by the UNESCO. The whole area is worth visiting for the beauty of its landscapes, the presence of numerous castles open to tourists and the many culinary and wine tours that you can take. Alba itself is full of monuments and places of interest that you can visit, for example, the building of the municipality or the Cathedral of Alba, as well as numerous other religious buildings spread throughout the city. Or you can visit the museum Federico Eusebio, dedicated to the archaeological and natural heritage of the area.
